28th January, Glasgow: The Scottish Event Campus (SEC) has announced the appointment of Greg O’Donnell as Senior Association Sales Manager who joins the team to focus on international sales.
Greg brings more than 20 years’ experience across sales, business development and operational roles within the conferences and events sector. He joins the SEC from Glasgow Caledonian University, where he spent over a decade as Business Development Manager for Conferences & Events, leading commercial growth across both national and international association markets.
During his time at the University, Greg was responsible for the strategic development of the commercial conferences and events function, driving sales activity, lead generation and revenue growth.
He has extensive experience working collaboratively on conference bids, including partnering with Glasgow Convention Bureau to secure high-profile events for the city.
In his new role at the SEC, Greg will focus on further strengthening the venue’s burgeoning international associations portfolio, supporting bid activity and working closely with partners to attract global congresses to Glasgow.
