Creative communications agency DRP Group has acquired south-east-based boutique production agency Liquona; a move designed to grow and strengthen the agency’s global film and animation offering while expanding its London and south-east presence through the newly opened Studio Dean Street in Soho.
Liquona, founded by Matt Day and Oliver Hall, has built a reputation for delivering distinctive, craft-led content for brands including PepsiCo, DHL eCommerce, and RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects). The team produces live action, animation, 3D photorealistic renders, virtual reality and broadcast content.
Liquona has reached a point where joining a larger group allows the company to offer its boutique approach while accessing DRP Group’s wider integrated resources and sister brand services.
CEO of DRPG Dale Parmenter said, “Liquona is the perfect fit for the group. We instantly recognised there are many synergies that closely align with our ‘anything’s possible’ culture. Its craft-led work and decade-plus of trusted relationships bring real strategic value to our corporate film capability. Joining forces now, as we open Studio Dean Street, strengthens our London presence and propels our continued investment in film and animation as a core part of the group.”
Director of Film at DRPG Scott Horsfield added, “Liquona bring creativity, skill and agility that complements what we do across DRPG Film. This integration allows Liquona to scale its capabilities and take on more ambitious projects while keeping the boutique feel that makes the company so effective. Studio Dean Street perfectly matches this ambition, it’s a space where our teams and clients can collaborate, connect, and deliver truly impactful work for some of the world’s most recognisable brands.”
Co-founder of Liquona Matt Day said, “Joining DRPG at its Studio Dean Street puts us on the map in the creative heart of London; and as part of the wider group, allows us to offer a broader range of services than ever before! While we’re now backed up by a phenomenal team and resource, we will keep the independence and agility of the Liquona brand and can maintain the much-valued client relationships that we have built up over the years.”
The integration comes a few months after the opening of DRP Group’s Studio Dean Street, the group’s new London headquarters for all its brands. Liquona’s work has been widely recognised, including a Grand Prix People’s Choice win at the 2025 Smiley Charity Film Awards and being named a Top 30 Agency by Televisual.
