Convene Hospitality Group Announces New Special Events Venue at Historic Terminal Warehouse

Introducing The Mallory as an independently branded venue in NYC’s West Chelsea, 50,000+ square-feet across three floors for experiential and social events.

Convene Hospitality Group (CHG), operator of a global portfolio of lifestyle brands focused on creating the places and experiences that bring people together, today announced a new independently branded venue at historic New York City landmark Terminal Warehouse: The Mallory.

Spanning over 50,000 square-feet across three floors, The Mallory will offer versatile event space highlighted by refined architectural details including exposed brick, arched windows, boxcar doors, and timber beams.  It has been artfully crafted to serve as a one-of-a-kind event destination in West Chelsea for the most distinguished events including galas, award ceremonies, celebrations, weddings, and other special occasions.  The venue will also serve as a bespoke conferencing center and highly designed lounge for employees of the building’s tenants, slated to open Q2 2026.

“The Mallory at Terminal Warehouse was born out of the opportunity to more adeptly serve the experiential events industry in New York – and do it better than anyone else in the market,” said Ryan Simonetti, president and CEO of CHG.  “Large-scale social, cultural, and experiential events are the lifeforce of the city; having spent the last 16 years honing the operational prowess to run complex hospitality-led venues, we’re elevating our offering and expanding our brand set to provide a premier destination to bring bespoke experiences to life.”

Over the past two years, the events industry has witnessed a 165% increase in demand for meeting planners seeking unique venues; The Mallory as an independent venue allows CHG to meet this growing market need while also providing opportunities to Terminal Warehouse’s tenants.

Located in the northwest corner of the building and accessed via Terminal Warehouse’s iconic tunnel, The Mallory will offer flexible spaces that can be customized depending on event needs and accommodate a total of up to 550 guests.  The venue comprises a reception lounge with 25-foot bar, grand event hall with 19-foot ceilings, VIP green room suites, and gallery space with movable walls.  Designed to serve high-production experiential and immersive events, it will offer an on-site commercial-grade catering kitchen, production rigging and motorized truss, and built-in technology infrastructure including theatrical lighting, flexible 4K projection, and a custom designed point-source speaker system.  The venue name is a nod to George Mallory, the original architect of the historic 1890s building.

The addition of The Mallory is one of the core elements of the famed Terminal Warehouse redevelopment.  Led by Columbia Property Trust, L&L Holding Company, and Cannon Hill Capital Partners, in collaboration with renowned architectural firm COOKFOX, the landmark structure is nearing completion of its transformation into a 1.3 million-square-foot high-performance office and retail destination comprising 12 modern office floors around a central courtyard.  Building tenants of Terminal Warehouse will enjoy access to the lounge area within The Mallory and can also take advantage of its proximate events and conferencing space.

“We partnered with CHG because they were going to provide something spectacular for the neighborhood, Terminal Warehouse, and the people who work here.  The Mallory will serve as an activating member to our neighborhood, a major part of the ecosystem of Terminal Warehouse’s fabled tunnel, and as a one-of-a-kind amenity experience for our tenants,” said Columbia Property Trust Executive Vice President and Head of Real Estate Ted Koltis . “We are pleased to partner with CHG on a conference, meeting, and events venue that will be every bit as iconic as the building itself.”

L&L Holding Executive Vice President of Leasing Jonathan Tootell continued, “The Mallory is a key component of the comprehensive suite of shops, amenities, and services we are assembling throughout Terminal Warehouse.  The Mallory’s high-end design and diverse offerings will further position Terminal Warehouse as a vibrant hub of commerce, culture, and connection.”

Rocco Laginestra of CBRE represented CHG in the leasing transaction.  Terminal Warehouse was represented by Alan Schmerzler, Catherine Merck, Sean Moran, Steven Soutendijk and Patrick O’Rourke of Cushman & Wakefield.

CHG is the largest single provider of non-hotel meeting and event venues in the U.S. and UK and has a growing footprint of flexible office space.  With the addition of The Mallory, it has a network of 39 locations spanning nine global cities.  CHG venues go beyond space, fostering experiences rooted in belonging, guided by hospitality, and designed to bring people together time and again.
